FedPoint LLC is a Washington-based government relations firm, representing financial services firms before the U.S. Congress and selected federal agencies.

Here's how we lobby:

• The most important client development we do is meeting the goals of the clients we already have.
• We understand that, for most companies, government relations, at its worst, is a “cost-center;” shouldn’t be a “profit-center;” and if done right, will be a “value-center.”
• We don’t do “strategic advice.” Our clients are smarter about their own businesses than we are.
• Our clients realize that most such talk is a way of putting off the real task of working Capitol Hill.
• We build relationships for our clients; not for ourselves.
• We don’t brag about ourselves; we brag about our clients.
• Popular misconceptions aside, “what you know” is still as important as “who you know.”
• A good public policy argument remains essential. The vast majority of elected officials are good public servants and will respond with a solid public policy rationale.
